Are all of your Halloween costumes neatly put away by now?
Yeah, mine aren’t either.
But you’re going to be THANKFUL that they’re still out because I have 2 great tips on organizing all those darling costumes that your children begged and pleaded for you to buy for them this year.
And didn’t they look adorable?
Was it worth it?
I’ll let you answer that.
OK, Tip #1:
Designate a dress-up box
They aren’t just for princesses, let me tell ya! As the mother of five boys and only one girl, I can safely say that boys love to dress up just as much as girls. But not as dainty princesses, thank goodness. No, they love to be superheroes, fight bad guys and save the world! No tea parties for this bunch.
So why not let them play in their Halloween costumes all year round? C’mon, I know it’s secretly your favorite holiday anyway. So just succumb to the temptation. Heck — you can even make your own dress-up box that’s just for you!
I have a couple of [these bins] for my boys that fit perfectly in [this]. Love it. Easy to pull out. Easy to put away. And they hold lots of fun costume stuff. Be THANKFUL that they are still young enough to want to dress up and enjoy it while you can. Because before you know it, they’ll be way too cool to play dress up.
Whoever invented the ziploc bag is A-mazing! Thank you [Mr. Vergobbi]! I can find a million and one uses for these things.
Now realistically you won’t be putting all your costumes into the dress-up box, right? Right!
Think back to when you pulled your Halloween costumes out of storage. How easy was it to find the clown’s nose mixed in with the pirate hat or the vampire teeth? It’s the famous, “I know it’s in here somewhere!” line. And then you can’t find it.
Talk about frustrating.
Well, that is about to end. And all you need are some ziploc bags and a pen.
Oh, and your costumes.
And a box to put them in.
AND I’ll continue this later, so stay tuned!
