it’s never too late

to do what makes you happy.

For example: it’s 5:30 pm and I just barely made my bed.

Seriously. I’m totally not joking.

I love a made bed. It makes me happy.

And my room goes from this:

to this:

Isn’t that amazing?

Who wouldn’t want to make their bed?

Some people don’t even make their beds at all and others, once a certain amount of time passes, thinks, “It’s too late to make my bed now. I’ll be sleeping in it in just a couple of hours.”

Guess what I say to that?

So what!

There’s no point-of-no-return time for making a bed. Or for doing anything else that brings a smile to your face.

Shoot — you could make your bed right before you get in it if you want. Smooth out the sheets and blankets. Aaaah. Feels so good.

What makes you happy? Whatever it is, go do it now. Remember it’s never too late.

It’ll bring a smile to your face.

And take you from drab to fab.

It’s so true! I love it when my bed is made. The rest of the room can be in shambles, but when my bed is made, it makes me feel so much better (and I notice the mess a little less). It’s a breathing moment. Now it’s just getting everyone else in the family to realize that too. :0)
